Two Hobart workmates are looking forward to knocking off early this afternoon after discovering they are now over $603,000 richer from winning division one in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw.
The hardworking pair of mechanics hold one of the seven division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 3871 on Saturday 26 August 2018. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $603,397.66.
When speaking with a Tatts official this morning to confirm their win, the syndicate leader couldn’t contain his disbelief.
“You’re kidding me! Really? I’ve got to sit down!” the thrilled man exclaimed.
“It me and my mate who have been playing so I’ll have to pull him out of work and have an early minute I think!
“Thank you, thank you! We’ve been friends for over thirty years and been playing these numbers for about ten years!
“We chose these numbers randomly about three or five years ago.
“Every year we talk about stopping but I am glad we didn’t!
“I can’t wait to call my mate and break the news!”
The winning 18-game marked entry was purchased at Elizabeth Mall News & Lotto, 53 Elizabeth Mall, Hobart.
David Mills, owner of Elizabeth Mall News & Lotto, said he was thrilled to have sold another division one winning entry.
“It is fantastic news! We are all really excited to have had another Tasmanian winner and it’s great to have sold the winning entry!” he exclaimed.
“We’ve put notices up and have been chatting to all of our customers about the win!

So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto and Saturday Gold Lotto have created 119 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday TattsLotto draw 3871 on Saturday 25 August 2018 were 29, 18, 5, 31, 35 and 15, while the supplementary numbers were 9 and 36.
Across Australia there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3871 – two each from Victoria and Western Australia, and one each from Queensland, Tasmania and South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 267 so far this calendar year, including 110 won by Tatts customers.
