A Lake Macquarie woman says she’s been dreaming of the day she wins the lottery and now it’s finally arrived she’s struggling to believe the life-changing news.
The New South Wales player held one of the three division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3943, drawn Wednesday 29 January 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $1,000,000.
A NSW Lotteries official contacted the woman this morning to break the life-changing news, who had no idea she’d woken up a millionaire.
“I’ve won one million dollars?” she questioned.
“Did I? Did I really?
“Oh my god. Thank you so much!
“I can’t believe it! I’m crying. I’m shaking.
“You always dream about this happening but you never think it will actually happen to you.
“And now it has I have no idea what to say. I’m lost for words!
“I wasn’t expecting this phone call at all.
“Thank you. Thank you so much.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her life-changing windfall, the overwhelmed winner said she’d relish the financial freedom.
“I hope I’ll be able to retire!” she laughed.
“That would be so lovely. It would be beautiful.
“I really don’t know what to say. I’m in shock.
“I’ll be able to pay off my mortgage and get some renovations done around the home which I’ve been saving so hard to do.
“Not having to worry about a mortgage will be wonderful, absolutely wonderful.
“I can’t believe this!”
The woman purchased her winning entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
In 2019, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto created 203 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3943 on Wednesday 29 January 2020 were 26, 5, 24, 11, 10 and 30 while the supplementary numbers were 2 and 43.
Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3943 – two from New South Wales and one from Victoria.
