A Lakemba couple’s anniversary toast will now come with a side of seven figures after they scored $1 million in last night’s Weekday Windfall draw.
The Sydneysiders held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4612, drawn Wednesday 15 October 2025. They can look forward to taking home a clean $1 million.
When an official from The Lott called the winning duo this morning, they confessed they were still buzzing with adrenaline after a sleepless night of pinching themselves.
“I can’t describe how I’m feeling right now!” the winning husband cheered.
“I checked last night, but we couldn’t believe it. We’ve been waiting for this call to find out whether we were dreaming or if it’s really our new reality.
“We had no sleep after that, that’s for sure!
“I’m just so happy. It’s amazing.
“It’s actually our wedding anniversary soon, so we were planning to go out for dinner, but now we can do something even better than dinner.
“I’ve been working so hard lately, so you have no idea how much this means. It’s life-changing for us.
“We’re currently renting, so the first thing we’ll do is put a deposit down for a house.
“It’s just crazy. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much.”
His 50-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4612 on Thursday 16 October 2025 were 25, 31, 10, 13, 32 and 36, while the supplementary numbers were 22 and 26.
