A Wadalba man scored $1 million in last night’s Weekday Windfall draw, thanks to the special lottery numbers he has continued to play in honour of his late father.
The Central Coast resident held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4518, drawn Monday 10 March 2025. Each entry pocketed $1 million.
The man was oblivious to his win and enjoying his breakfast when an official from The Lott broke the winning news to him this morning.
“God! I need to get a bit of air now,” he exclaimed while coming to terms with the win.
“This is much, much needed for lots of things.
“Wow! Thank you so much.
“I was about to have breakfast. This is a good awakening!
“My dad started playing lotteries back in the 1980s, but when he passed away I kept some of his numbers going.
“I just kept playing them, just in his memory and added some new ones from the family.
“They were very special numbers and now they’re even more special now.
“We’re working-class people so it will come in very handy and allow us to help ourselves and everyone around us.
“Thank you for the news! You’ve just made my day!”
The man’s marked System 7 entry was purchased at Wadalba Newsagency, 2 Edward Stinson Avenue, Wadalba.
Wadalba Newsagency manager Tina Ford said her outlet was celebrating their latest division one win.
“We’re very excited for that customer to win this major prize. It’s a life-changing prize and we wish them all the very best,” she said.
“Everyone will also be so excited for them and hoping they’re our next big winner.
“We’ve sold five division one wins since 2018, with our last one in March 2023. It’s always great to have another win in Wadalba.”
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4518 on Monday 10 March 2025 were 27, 7, 21, 17, 14 and 33, while the supplementary numbers were 41 and 6.
