A Launceston shopper has had a flying start to the week after their entry into Saturday’s TattsLotto draw yielded them a prize worth over $678,000.
The Tasmanian resident held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3915, drawn Saturday 26 January 2019. Each entry took home a divison one prize of $678,118.79.
However, how the player plans to spend their TattsLotto windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
Tatts spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said that while we may never know how the Launceston shopper plans to spend their TattsLotto windfall they are sure to have a good start to the year.
“What better way to start 2019 than by discovering you are over $678,000 richer!” she exclaimed.
“No doubt our winner’s plans for the year will change when their bank account balloons by a few more zeros!
“Other winners tell us they love to share their windfall with their family, go on overseas holidays, pay off their mortgage or buy a new home.
“However our winner chooses to enjoy their windfall we are sure it has changed their lives forever!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased their entry at Prospect Lotto, shop 13/14 Olde Tudor Shopping Centre, 195 Westbury Road, Launceston.
Partner at Prospect Lotto Martin Eade said he was thrilled to learn his outlet had helped to make someone very happy.
“I imagine we will be all smiles this week knowing we’ve sold a winner,” he said.
“Our customers will be excited to know we’ve sold another division one winning entry.
“The last time we sold a division one winning entry was almost a year ago today!
“This will be our fourth division one winning entry we’ve sold over the last five and a half years.
“Congratulations to our winner. We hope they enjoy their win!”
In 2018, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and TattsLotto created 194 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3915 on Saturday 26 January 2019 were 36, 18, 8, 19, 38 and 42, while the supplementary numbers were 39 and 4.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 3915, including three in Victoria and one each in Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 220 so far this financial year, including 93 won by Tatts customers.
In the 12 months to 31 December 2018, there were 280 division one winning TattsLotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $306.19 million.
