A Leeton man had an extra reason to celebrate on New Year’s Eve with the revelation he was suddenly $200,000 richer from the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Riverina man won the guaranteed 1st prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1189, drawn Monday 31 December 2018.
The man was oblivious to his win until a NSW Lotteries official made contact with him as he was on his way to his New Year’s Eve celebrations.
“Wow! Thank you!” he exclaimed.
“I’m excited! I’m on my way to a friend’s place for New Year’s Eve. What a great way to finish off 2018. It makes my good year great.
“I’ve only been playing Lucky Lotteries for about a year and a half!
“It’s very good news to finish the year on.”
The happy winner shared he knew exactly what he would do with his Lucky Lotteries windfall.
“I’ll do some renovations on my house and also my mum’s house,” he said.
“It’s something we’ve been wanting to do for a while.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of one number at Leeton Pharmacy, 113 Pine Avenue, Leeton.
Leeton Pharmacy team member Amanda Pippia said she hoped to see many more winning entries sold at her outlet in 2019.
“It’s beautiful! Congratulations to our winner. What a great time of year to win.
“We sold a division one winning entry a year or so ago but hopefully this win is a sign of many more to come.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $34.36 million for draw 1189 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.32 million for draw 10264.
