A Leichhardt man has confessed he feels like he’s stuck in a dream and can barely hold a conversation after scoring more than $3.3 million in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

The Sydneysider held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4571, drawn Saturday 10 May 2025. Each division one winning entry can look forward to a glorious $3,333,333.34.

The newly made multi-millionaire was beaming with excitement when an official from The Lott called to confirm the thrilling news.

“Thank you so much!” the winning man cheered.

“I’m so nervous. My wife said to me I look like I’m walking around in a dream.

“I’ve never won something like this in my life. It’s so much money, and it’s going to help us so much.

“When I heard the message you left, I just thought this can’t be real. Either I’m dreaming or someone’s being a smart alec - trying to trick me.

“Then I checked off my numbers and sure enough, I had them all! I rang my wife right away, who said, ‘That’s it! I’m retiring!’.

“I honestly haven’t been able to function normally since I discovered the win. I’m just shocked and I can’t get out any conversation.

“Small coincidences keep happening, and it all feels like it was meant to be. Someone jokingly said to me, ‘Remember me when you win the Lotto,’ and I had to giggle to myself.

“This will really help with retirement, and we’ve got an upcoming holiday booked so now we can enjoy it to its fullest!

“I’ve played for over 40 years, and I’ve won small prizes here and there but never division one. I still feel like someone needs to wake me up from all of this.

“I always say you only need a small ticket and it’s true because my ticket was only five bucks.”

His winning 6-game QuickPick entry was purchased from Leichhardt Marketplace Newsagency, Shop 44, 138 Flood Street, Leichhardt.

Leichhardt Marketplace Newsagency owner Bradley Weeden said he was thrilled to sell another division one winning entry.

“It’s always great to see another win. People get excited and it draws a lot of attention. We have people who travel from all over the place to get their ticket from us,” he said.

“The store has been so busy since, and we’ve been hanging up posters and letting everyone know the great news.

“We’re a bit of a lucky outlet. We’ve had lots of division one wins through the years. In fact, this will be our 42nd plaque we can hang up.

“My father owned the outlet before me, so we’ve been here a long time.

“Congratulations to our winning customer and we hope the prize is a great help.”
