Three weeks on and lottery officials are yet to hear the screams of delight from the mystery Leppington local or visitor who scored a $2 million Saturday Lotto win but may not know it.
The mystery player held one of the 15 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4375, drawn Saturday 24 June 2023. Each entry took home $2 million.
The division one winning entry was not registered to a player card, which means officials from The Lott have no way of notifying the winner of their life-changing win and have to wait for them to check their ticket.
The winning ticket was purchased at Leppington Newsagency, Shop 6, 1469 Camden Valley Way, Leppington.
Leppington Newsagency owners Pradeep and Mini Ahluwalia said they were eagerly awaiting news their winner had come forward and urged any customers who purchased an entry at their store to check their tickets.
“It is fantastic news! We’re so happy to have sold a division one winning entry but we’re even happier to know one of our customers have had their lives changed over the weekend,” Pradeep said.
“We’ve been wondering where our winner is for a couple of weeks now and hope they come forward very soon to claim their prize and begin planning the rest of their life!”
The Lott spokesperson James Eddy said he hoped the mystery winner would come forward soon and urged players to check their fridge door, car console or sock draw for the winning ticket.
“This winner is likely oblivious to the fact they became a newly minted multi-millionaire a few weeks ago,” he said.
“We’re urging anyone who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket for draw 4375 at Leppington Newsagency to check their tickets today!
