Life is looking much brighter today for a young Southern Sydney family after they learned they were $1 million richer.
The family was the only winner in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3800 on Monday 17 September 2018, winning the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.
When speaking with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the dad revealed what this win means for him and his young family.
“Wow!” he exclaimed.
“This is life-changing. Truly life-changing.”
The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 24-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
When asked about how he planned to spend his windfall, the family man explained:
“We’ll pay off our debts and finally buy a house!
“We’ll also put some money aside for our son – something for the future.”
This is the eighth time this calendar year a Southern Sydney local has won Monday & Wednesday Lotto or Saturday Lotto with five of these wins creating millionaires.
Across Australia, a total of 134 millionaires have been created by Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto this calendar year.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3800 on Monday 17 September 2018 were 2, 7, 16, 36, 37 and 40, while the supplementary numbers were 11 and 26.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 291 so far this calendar year, including 78 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
Last financial year, there were 82 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $80 million.
