A Parramatta dad is knocking off work early this afternoon after today hearing the news he won $200,000 in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1273, drawn Tuesday 9 April 2019.
A NSW Lotteries official broke the news to the winner this afternoon while he was still at work.
“You’re joking!?” he questioned.
“That’s unbelievable!
“I had no idea! Thank you!
“My brother and I have been buying tickets together every week!
“I feel so lucky!
“I just popped into a newsagency and scanned my ticket and they told me it was too big for them to pay out.
“I had no idea though!
“Oh my god! I can’t get too excited because I’m at work!”
Incredibly, the winner revealed this wasn’t the first time he’d received a life-changing phone call of this nature.
“Can you believe this? This is the second time I’ve won this prize!” he exclaimed.
“I actually won it more than ten years ago as well.
“It’s just so exciting!
“Half of it is my brothers so we will be sharing.
“Then I’ll probably share it with my children and I’d love to go on a holiday with my wife!
“It will be difficult to concentrate for the rest of the day so I might have to head home early.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of four consecutive numbers at Parramatta Newsagency, Shop 2, 101 George Street, Parramatta.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $54.76 million for draw 1275 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $4.79 million for draw 10283.
