A Liverpool lottery player’s life has changed forever in the best way imaginable after they scored the entire Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize of $15.65 million this week.
The Greater Western Sydneysider won the Jackpot Prize of $15.65 million in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1596, drawn Wednesday 19 October 2022.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize climbed to a life-changing $15.65 million after there were no Jackpot Prize winners for 64 consecutive draws.
However, how the New South Wales winner plans to spend their windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Liverpool Plaza Newsagency, Shop 26, Liverpool Plaza, 165-191 Macquarie Street, Liverpool.
Liverpool Plaza Newsagency owner Tai Ngo said he was still celebrating the fact his outlet sold the Jackpot Prize winning ticket.
“We were all very surprised when we first found out that the Jackpot Prize went off and that we’d sold the winning ticket - it’s unbelievable!” he said.
“Only about five weeks ago we had sold a 2nd Prize winning ticket in a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw, so it was creeping up on us to have sold the Jackpot Prize!
“We’ve been very busy in the store since selling the Jackpot Prize winning ticket, and of course, with $160 million on offer in Powerball next week, we’d love to sell another major lottery prize winning ticket to a customer.
“Congratulations to the winner. We’re so happy for you. This is life-changing!”
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was sure the winner was delighted by their Jackpot Prize win and busy making plans to enjoy it.
“While we may never know how they plan to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they are walking around today grinning from ear to ear after discovering their juggernaut Jackpot Prize,” she said.
“A flurry of winners tell us they use their windfall to help their nearest and dearest, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or splurge on a new car.
“However our winner chooses to use their multi-million dollar prize, we hope they enjoy the winning feeling for a long time to come.”
