A Loftus man has declared his $100,000 win from the latest Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw is ‘a beauty’.
The happy retiree won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10246, drawn on Thursday 13 September 2018.
As well as winning the 1st Prize, the man’s entry also scored a consolation prize of $1,000, bolstering his total win to $101,000.
Speaking to a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon to claim his prize, the man couldn’t contain his excitement when the life enhancing win was confirmed.
“Holy sh*t, really? Well, how about that!” he said while laughing with glee.
“That’s a beauty! Thank you very much!
“I scanned the ticket about five minutes ago, and it said to call you guys. Just as I was about to call, my phone started ringing and it turns out it was you! How crazy is that.
“I thought I had won $1,000! But this is so much better
“I am feeling pretty rapt right now. I never thought I would win this much.
“God I don’t think I will sleep tonight. I will be thinking about what to do with this win, that’s for sure!
“I can’t wait to tell my wife, this will definitely cheer her up! She’s going to be so excited. She’s never won anything that big in her life – well, except me of course!”
When asked how he man planned to spend his win, the Loftus man declared that he would share it with his loved ones.
“We are retired, so we will invest it for the great grandkids to help with their schooling and university,” he shared.
“We will probably splurge a little on something. It’s certainly going to make my retirement better.
“We will definitely celebrate tonight. We will get a bottle of champagne and go to our neighbours to celebrate.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Salamander Bay Newsagency, shop 6, 251 Soldiers Point Road, Salamander Bay.
Salamander Bay Newsagency employee Sandy said the store was ecstatic to have sold a 1st Prize winning entry.
“We are all really excited. It is great news,” she said.
“We are so happy for our winner and wish them all the best.
“Hopefully we have some more big wins soon!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $19.72 million for draw 1129 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.06 million for draw 10247.
