A merry man from Logan is thanking the sporadic decision to purchase an entry in the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw for his surprise $200,000 windfall.
The Queensland retiree scored a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1st Prize in draw 1534, drawn Thursday 20 May 2021, and takes home the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000.
Speaking with an official from The Lott moments after the draw, the startled man declared he was unaware of his life-enhancing news.
“I can’t believe it. I’m trying to stay alive at this point,” the man laughed.
“I just opened my online account and noticed that one of my entries was a winning one.
“I nearly had a heart attack when it had come up with $200,000.
“I thought I’d have a hot crack at Lucky Lotteries, and it’s turned out I’ve won!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his Lucky Lotteries windfall, the down-to-earth man said he would eventually treat himself to a new home.
“I’m not too sure how I will spend my money. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it all,” he said.
“I’ve never thought about how I’ll spend a lottery win, but I’m sure I’ll purchase a house sometime soon.
“I seriously can’t believe it. This is brilliant!”
