A merry band of 10 Sunshine Coast shoppers will be sporting winning smiles this week after syndicate entry scored a multi-million dollar division one prize in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The store syndicate, called “Bream Creek”, held one of the seven division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3889 on 27 October 2018. Each entry takes home the division one prize of $2,857,142.86.

In addition to winning division one, the Kawana syndicate’s 10-game System 10 QuickPick entry also won division three 6 times, bolstering the syndicate’s total prize to $2,864,394.46.

Each member of the syndicate receives a share worth $286,439.45.

The winning store syndicate entry was set up by Kawana News & Gifts, Shop 353, Kawana Shoppingworld, 119 Point Cartwright Road, Buddina.

Kawana News & Gifts owner Jono Milligan said his outlet had been running the “Bream Creek” syndicate for more than 30 years.

“It’s named after one of my favourite bottles of pinot noir from Tasmania. Hopefully the winners will be enjoying a few bottles of it with this win,” he said.

“Many of the syndicate members go into this each week. This syndicate has won division two before so it’s great to see it win division one.

“Some of the syndicate winners have already popped in and discovered the news. One didn’t know so it was a bit of a shock for him.

“It’s great to see another win in store. This is the second division one win we’ve had during the past eight years.”

Golden Casket spokesperson Matt Hart said some syndicate members held unregistered entries and may have yet to discover their winning news.

“What a great way to start your working week – discovering you’ve pocketed hundreds of thousands of dollars!” he said.

“While we’ll be reaching out to those syndicate members who registered their entry to their Winners Circle cards, there are a few syndicate members who have unregistered entries and may not yet know they’re part of this winning group.

“If you purchased a share in a syndicate for the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw, today’s the day to check it!  If you discover you’re holding a winning share, call Golden Casket on 131 868 to start the prize claim process!”

So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto and Saturday Gold Lotto have created 152 millionaires across Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3889 on Saturday 29 October 2018 were 13, 17, 32, 9, 37 and 16, while the supplementary numbers were 6 and 14.
