A pair of long-time friends are0 planning how to celebrate tonight after today discovering their private syndicate scored a division one prize in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The thrilled duo held one of the 12 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3965, drawn Saturday 20 July 2019. Each winner takes home a division one prize of $359,682.38.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the old friends’ marked System-10 entry scored them division three 24 times and division four 90 times bolstering their total prize to $381,219.98.

Sharing his joy with a Tatts official this morning, one of the friends recounted how he discovered the life-changing news.

“I had no idea we had won until my friend called to tell me!” he exclaimed.

“We chose the numbers at random over 10 years ago and have been playing them every week since.

“That’s how he knew we’d won when he saw our regular numbers come up, so he called to tell me we’d won the big one.

“I couldn’t believe it!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his division one windfall the winner declared it would go straight towards paying off his home loan.

“I’m going to pay my share directly off the mortgage!” he declared.

“I’m pretty sure my mate is going to do exactly the same.

“Once the mortgage is paid off you have the freedom to do what you want, which is great!”

The syndicate leader, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his marked System-10 entry at Corner Exchange Lotto, Shop 1, 75 Separation Street, Geelong North.

Corner Exchange Lotto owner Phil Cameron said he was thrilled to have sold another division one winning entry.

“It’s always a good feeling to sell a division one entry and we’ve been saying for weeks now we’re overdue to sell another one!” he exclaimed.

“The party has already begun in store, we can’t wait to celebrate with our newest major winner!

“It always creates a stir in Geelong with people wondering who the lucky winner is.

“We’ve sold 14 major prizes at our outlet over the past 25 years, with the last one landing in 2015.

“We hope our winners are as excited about their win as we are!”
