Lottery lightning struck twice over the weekend in Melbourne, where a group of 10 players sharing a $3 million TattsLotto prize, astonishingly repeating the success of a similar win only four weeks earlier.
The players were part of a 10-share group syndicate, called Epic Win, set up by Prahran Market Lotto, Tobacco & News, Shop 817, 183 Commercial Road, Prahran.
Shares into the syndicate were also sold at Lilydale Village Lotto & News and Collingwood Lotto Tobacco & News.
In addition to winning division one, the syndicate’s winning System 11 QuickPick entry also won division three 30 times, division four 150 times and division six 200 times, bolstering the group’s total win to $3,127,750.40.
Each member of the winning syndicate can look forward to a payday of $312,775.05
Amazingly, it’s the second time in just four weeks that the same syndicate set up by the same outlet has scored a division one prize.
The other division one winning ticket in the TattsLotto draw was held by an Attwood grandmother who plans to use her $3 million win to surprise her husband with is dream car.
Prahran Market Lotto, Tobacco & News owner Suriya Arjunan said he was over the moon to sell another winning division one syndicate.
“I can’t believe it! This is the second time in a month that we’ve set up a winning syndicate, and it was the same one except instead of a QuickPick, it was marked numbers this time,” he exclaimed.
“We ‘re so excited and so happy for our customers. Some of the ticketholders will be the same winners from the previous winning draw!
“Not many outlets are able to say they’ve sold two division one winning entries in one month!”
While some of the winning syndicate members held registered entries and have been notified of their win, The Lott spokesperson Khat McIntyre said some of the group might still be unaware of their good fortune.
“We’ve been reaching out to those syndicate members who are part of The Lott Members Club and registered their tickets to their player card or online account. However, some of the syndicate members held unregistered entries and may not yet know they’re part of this winning crew,” she said.
“If you purchased a share in a store syndicate for the recent TattsLotto draw, today’s the day to check it!”
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4647 on 31 January 2026 were 20, 45, 42, 9, 34 and 33, while the supplementary numbers were 29 and 7.
Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4647 – two in Victoria.
