A Mackay woman was left utterly gobsmacked when lottery officials called this morning to reveal she’d won a life-enhancing $546,000 on a forgotten Saturday Gold Lotto ticket.
The North Queenslander held one of the 12 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4581, drawn Saturday 14 June 2025. She looks forward to $546,068.41.
“Love a duck! You’re joking!” the retiree exclaimed when an official from The Lott confirmed the windfall.
“What?! You’re absolutely joking!
“I’m calling out to my husband now! We’ve won $546,000!
“How the hell! What do we intend to do with the prize? Who do we tell?
“I forgot about this ticket. I didn’t even realise I had purchased it for this draw.
“We’ve got a handyman coming to help us fix our television today. Not much on for today, but we’ll have to work something out to celebrate.
“This is a big surprise for our Monday.
“Now I have to get over the shock.”
Her winning 12-game QuickPick was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4581 on 14 June 2025 were 1, 28, 19, 6, 17 and 10, while the supplementary numbers were 35 and 14.
Across Australia, there were 12 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4581 – four each in Queensland and Victoria, two in Western Australia, and one each in New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales.
