A trio of siblings from Lugarno who believe a family that plays together, stays together have been shocked to discover they won $900,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The southern Sydney residents held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4459 on Saturday 13 April 2024. Each division one winning entry took home $862,332.62.
In addition to division one, the winning family also scored division two 6 times, division three 6 times and division four 15 times, bolstering their total lottery loot to $907,881.02.
“Thank you! It’s crazy!” she exclaimed.
“I can’t believe it still. It’s a family ticket with my siblings so we’ll be splitting it three ways.
“We’re all so excited. We had no idea until yesterday.
“I was looking at the ticket and I knew we had a few numbers, but I had no idea we’d won division one!
“I even saw a Facebook post looking for a winner in our area, but it still hadn’t clicked.
“Finally, when I checked it at the newsagency, I realised the incredible news.
“It’s amazing. It will make such a huge difference. Not just to me but to my family and my sibling’s families too.
“We’ll all be able to feel more comfortable.
“We can put some towards our mortgages and hopefully soon, we can do a big family holiday!”

The winning marked System 8 entry was purchased at Lugarno News & Post, 1028 Forest Road, Lugarno.
Lugarno News & Post owner John Chan said he and the team couldn’t be happier for their winning customer.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4459 on 13 April 2024 were18, 25, 19, 16, 1 and 3, while the supplementary numbers were 7 and 33.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4459 – three from Victoria, two from New South Wales and one from South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 338 so far in FY24, including 114 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
