A man from the Sydney suburb of Manly has admitted he will have a spring in his step today despite heading back to work for 2025 after pocketing $2.1 million in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The Sydneysider held one of the 14 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4535 on Saturday 4 January 2025. Each division one winning entry scored $2,142,857.15.
“Oh my god! Oh my god! I had no idea,” the man exclaimed when an official from The Lott confirmed his prize.
“I had two tickets in the draw and I looked at one of them this morning. I won $28 on it and thought that was all I’d won.
“I was moping around thinking the holiday was over and I have to go back to work this week.
“Now, I’m sweating bullets. I can’t believe it!
“You have no idea how much this means to me. I’ve never had my own house, just always renting.
“You’ve made my year. This is the best gift you could have given me for 2025!“
The man’s winning System 8 QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4535 on 4 January 2025 were 33, 19, 8, 23, 10 and 31, while the supplementary numbers were 42 and 13.
Across Australia, there were 14 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4535 – six each in New South Wales and Victoria and two in Queensland.
