A Chermside man was left thanking his partner for passing on her good fortune to him after discovering he had bagged $200,000 in the recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Brisbane resident scored the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1658, drawn Thursday 4 April 2024.
Officials from The Lott contacted the gleeful man straight after the draw, leaving him in complete disbelief.
“Holy! Thank you very much!” he cheered.
“I can’t say I was expecting that. Wow! That’s fantastic!
“Thank gosh I’m working from home today. I’m not sure I could hold in my excitement in the office.
“I can’t wait to tell my partner. She’ll probably scream!
“Especially because she’s normally the lucky one. Maybe her luck has rubbed off on me. I hope so!”
When asked how he planned to use his newfound treasure, the winning man shared he already had a couple of things in mind.
“I think I’ll invest it and try to add to it,” he said.
“Then later down the track, I’ll hopefully buy a house. That’s the goal!
“I’d love to go out for a celebratory dinner too. We can be a bit less concerned about what we order and go for the good stuff!
“Thank you so much. You’ve made my day a whole lot better.”

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
