A Menai mum says after a tough two years, she was overwhelmed with happiness and excitement when she discovered $150,000 was coming her way.
The woman scored the top prize on a winning $10 Jumbo Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket, purchased at Sutherland Newsagency, 796 Old Princes Highway, Sutherland.
Sharing her joy with an official from The Lott this morning, the thrilled woman explained it had been a weekend to remember.
“I’m so happy!” she laughed.
“We’ve had a really crappy two years, so this is so good!
“I was waiting for my daughter so I popped into the newsagency and decided to grab a couple of scratchies.
“I didn’t scratch them until I got home later that night.
“I kept finding winning words on my ticket and checking them over and over again.
“It was amazing. I couldn’t believe it!”
With $150,000 about to hit her bank account, the New South Wales mum said she was looking forward to getting ahead.
“I will enjoy it, don’t you worry about that!” she said.
“I will clear every bill I have. It will make things so much easier.
“This will change my life!”
In FY21, there were 176 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across The Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $14.17 million in top prizes.
