A Brompton man has admitted he had to wash his face to be sure he wasn’t dreaming after scrubbing up $1 million in last night’s Weekday Windfall draw.
The Adelaide resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4456, drawn Wednesday 16 October 2024 and pocketed a clean $1 million.
When an official from The Lott reached out to confirm the incredible news this morning, the newly made millionaire was still glowing with excitement despite admitting he hadn’t slept a wink since checking his ticket last night.
“Thank you very much!” he cheered.
“It’s life-changing for us. It’s just incredible.
“I can finally pay off my mortgage so no more thinking about that!
“I checked my ticket last night just before bed and I wasn’t expecting it at all.
“I didn’t believe it! I quickly went to the bathroom, washed my face and checked again. I had to make sure I wasn’t dreaming!
“I woke up my wife and we both stayed up all night.
“We’re both looking forward to sleeping all day today.
“I had favourite regular numbers that I’d been choosing for almost three years, but they never won anything so recently I’ve changed to buying QuickPicks. It’s great I did!”
The winning 25-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4456 on Wednesday 16 October 2024 were 20, 39, 42, 26, 5 and 25, while the supplementary numbers were 36 and 17.
