More than a week after the draw, a Moonee Beach lottery player has checked their Monday Lotto ticket to realise it’s worth $1 million.
The Mid North Coast resident held one of the two division one winning entries across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4098, drawn Monday 26 July 2021.
However, how they plan to spend their windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The life-changing entry was purchased at Moonee Beach News & Gifts, Moonee Market, 2B Moonee Beach Road, Moonee Beach.
Moonee Beach News & Gifts owners Bronwyn & Graham Finch said they were delighted to sell their first division one winning entry.
“We are so happy for our winner,” they said.
“It is such great news for our local community, it’s a pleasure to know we have played a part in changing someone’s life.
“Congratulations to them!”
The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said discovering the life-changing win was sure to put a smile on the mystery winner’s face.
“While we may never know how they plan to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they are walking around today grinning from ear to ear after discovering their win,” she said.
“Other winners tell us they use their windfall to help their families, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or splurge a new car.
“However, our winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy the winning feeling as long as they can.”
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4098 on 26 July 2021 were 13, 19, 33, 6, 31 and 3, while the supplementary numbers were 16 and 38.
Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4098 – one from New South Wales and one from Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 271 so far this calendar year, including 78 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In 2020, Saturday Lotto created 122 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 312 division one winning in Saturday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $355.13 million.
