A Morisset woman has confessed she couldn’t stop shaking when she discovered she’d won $100,000, not $10,000 as she initially thought, on her Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
Her $5 Mystery Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Morisset Square Newsagency, Shop 6A, Morisset Shopping Centre, 35 Yambo Street, Morisset.
“I’m stoked! I’m absolutely stoked!” she exclaimed when speaking with an official from The Lott.
“I still can’t believe it. I was shaking, shaking, shaking when I found out.
“I only buy Instant Scratch-Its tickets every now and then, and I scratched this one at home.
“At first, I thought I had only revealed nine words, so I thought I had won $10,000. But then I found another word – so that was 10 words and $100,000!
“It was very exciting. It’s just wonderful.
“It’s just unbelievable – you just don’t expect to win.
“This will help pay off most of the mortgage – it will take a big chunk off. We might even take a holiday, which would be great as it’s been ages.”
Morisset Square Newsagency owner Wade Tracey said he was thrilled his outlet had sold its first top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
“We’ve had the shop four years, and this is the first top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket we’ve sold,” he said.
“We love to celebrate our wins and we’ve sold plenty of division two wins. It’s great to see we’ve now sold a top prize in Instant Scratch-Its too.
“Customers will be thrilled to see another win land in-store, and hopefully, this is the start of a winning streak of big prizes.”
In FY22, there were 139 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across The Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $14.51 million in top prizes.
