A Mossman shopper has most likely had a restless night’s sleep after discovering their thrilling $2 million windfall in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The mystery player held one of the 15 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4375, drawn Saturday 24 June 2023 and took home a total prize of $2 million.
So far in 2023, there have been six division one winning entries in the Far North Queensland region, that have collectively taken home more than $10.38 million in prize money.
However, how the winner plans to enjoy their prize will forever remain a mystery as they’ve chosen to stay completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
Their winning entry was purchased at News Extra Mossman, Shop 5, 35 Front Street, Mossman.
News Extra Mossman assistant manager Tanya Bown it was a wonderful feeling knowing her team has helped make someone’s dreams come true.
“It’s very exciting when you see your store’s name come up as one of the winning newsagencies in the weekend’s draw,” she shared.
“Our customers have been equally as excited as us when we share the winning news that we’ve sold a division one winning entry!
“This is the second time we’ve been fortunate enough to have sold a division one winning entry. The last time was in June 2021 to one of our local customers in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto!
“We couldn’t be happier for our winner and a big congratulations to them from the team at News Extra Mossman!”
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was sure the Far North Queensland winner was grinning from ear to ear following their delightful division one win.
“While we may never know how they plan to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they’re unable to stop smiling after discovering their multi-million-dollar win,” she said.
“Other winners tell us they use their windfall to help their families, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or complete an overseas odyssey.
“However, our winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy the winning feeling for a long time to come.”
