A Mount Barker resident has woken up this morning an overnight millionaire after scoring division one in last night’s Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw.
The happy winner held the only division one winning entry nationally in Wednesday X Lotto draw 4061, drawn Wednesday 17 March 2021 and takes home a division one prize of $1 million.
However, how the winner plans to spend their windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Mount Barker Central Newsagency, Shop 17, Mount Barker Central, McLaren Street, Mount Barker.
Mount Barker Central Newsagency team member Kellie McInnes said the store was buzzing after the division one winning news.
“It’s just a bit exciting!” she exclaimed.
“This is the sixth division one winning entry we’ve sold in the past three or four years.
“Everyone in the store is quite pumped up! We’ve been telling all of our customers.
“They are really exciting for us, and the store is buzzing! It’s a great atmosphere here today.
“Congratulations to our winner! We wish them all the best with their prize!”
The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said she was sure the winner was walking around with an extra spring in their step after making the exciting discovery.
“While we may not know how they plan to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they are very happy to have become an overnight millionaire,” she said.
“Other winners tell us they use their windfall to help their families, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or splurge a new car.
“However our winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy the winning feeling as long as they can.”
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4061 on Wednesday 17 March 2021 were 38, 22, 35, 24, 7 and 4, while the supplementary numbers were 31 and 1.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4061 – one entry from South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 303 so far this financial year, including 32 won by SA Lotteries customers.
In 2020, Monday & Wednesday X Lotto created 93 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 101 division one winning Monday & Wednesday X Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won $100 million.
