A Mount Ommaney woman has declared the universe has her back after her spontaneous Instant Scratch-Its purchase led to a $100,000 top prize.

The Brisbane resident’s winning $5 Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Nextra Mount Ommaney News, Shop SP041, Mount Ommaney Shopping Centre, 171 Dandenong Road, Mount Ommaney.

When an official from The Lott reached out to confirm her prize, the stunned winner shared the win couldn’t have come at a better time, bringing her a sense of peace and ease of mind.

“I’m still so excited!” the winning woman cheered.

“I’m still trying to process this whirlwind.

“I’ve only ever bought Instant Scratch-Its a handful of times. Something told me to buy a couple the other day.

“This one was my lucky ticket.

“It was a real shock to discover I’d won something this big.

“Honestly, the win has come at just the right time. I just keep looking up and saying thank you to the universe.

“It feels like someone is looking out for me.

“This win is going to bring me so much peace and ease of mind.

“I’ll share a little bit with children, and I’d also love to book a cold getaway.”

Nextra Mount Ommaney News manager Andie shared she was excited to hear one of her customers had started the year with a $100,000 Instant Scratch-Its win.

“What fantastic news! We love to hear that one of our customers has started the new year with a big win,” she said.

“We will be spreading the word that we are a lucky newsagency with banners and balloons, and of course letting the customers know that you can win big on Instant Scratch-Its.

“I think our customers will share our excitement to hear that a local person has won such a great prize.

“Congratulations to our Instant Scratch-Its winner! We hope that it helps you with whatever your plans are for 2025... or maybe a spontaneous holiday could be in order.”
