A Murrumba Downs woman and her sister have enjoyed an unexpected surprise in the everyday hustle, discovering their $100,000 lottery win while running errands.
The Moreton Bay duo held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10965 on Wednesday 23 April 2025.
“Holey moley! Thank you so much,” one of the winning sisters exclaimed when an official from The Lott revealed the prize.
“Wow! That’s so cool.
“Holy crap!
“This ticket is for me and my sister as well. We’ve never won anything like this. She will be stoked when I tell her.
“I’m just out and about running errands before heading back to work. I’d be happy for you to derail my day like this anytime! I’ll have a spring in my step when I return to work.
“For me, this will help finish some home renovations. We’ve been doing some at the moment and they’re a little bit over budget, so it’s come at the perfect time.
“I can’t wait to tell my sister!”
The sisters’ winning entry of two random numbers was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
