An entry from Tasmania pocketed the entire $30 million Oz Lotto jackpot last night, but the identity of the new multi-millionaire remains a mystery.
The Tasmanian entry was the only division one winning entry in Oz Lotto draw 1539 on 15 August 2023.
As the winning entry was not registered to a player card, the identity of the ticketholder remains a mystery and they may have yet to discover they’re now $30 million richer.
Officials from The Lott are urging all Tasmanian residents and visitors who purchased an entry into this week’s Oz Lotto draw to check their ticket and make contact to claim their prize.
In addition to the $30 million division one winner, there were 568,791 wins across divisions two to seven in last night’s draw that collectively took home more than $12.6 million.
It’s the second Oz Lotto prize to land in Tasmania this year. In February, a 24-member syndicate from Strahan shared a $10 million prize.
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said he was eagerly waiting for Australia’s newest multi-millionaire to make contact and start the prize claim process.
“Someone has become a mid-week multi-millionaire but possibly doesn’t know it yet. We can’t wait for them to discover this winning news! Just imagine how $30 million might change your life and the lives of your nearest and dearest,” he said.
“There are 30 million reasons why all Tasmanian players who had an entry in last night’s draw should check their ticket this morning.
“If you discover you’re holding the division one winning entry, hold on tight to that ticket and phone 131 868 as soon as possible so that we can start the prize claim process!”
The Lott reminds players of the importance of registering their tickets to a player card or online account so their prizes are secure and they can be contacted directly with the good news of a big win.
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1539 on Tuesday 15 August 2023 were 23, 6, 27, 41, 8, 24 and 47, while the supplementary numbers were 4, 13 and 28.
