A Narangba man who once counted a single cheesecake as his greatest prize is now celebrating a life-enhancing $100,000 win in a recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The Moreton Bay resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10981, drawn Monday 19 May 2025. He looks forward to a total prize of $100,000.
The stunned man had been unknowingly holding onto his winning ticket for over two weeks, completely unaware he was $100,000 richer until he checked his ticket late last night.
“This is just the best surprise!” he said when an official from The Lott confirmed the winning news.
“I haven’t slept a wink since checking my ticket last night.
“I’ve been out of town for a while, and it wasn’t until I got home yesterday and heard that there was a mystery winner in the area that I thought I should check my tickets.
“The winning ticket has been sitting on my fridge the entire time.
“When I finally checked it, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I just kept saying, ‘Oh my god! Oh my god!’.
“It’s unbelievable. The last time I won something was when I was 13 and I won a cheesecake.
“I’ve never been someone to have luck winning anything - let alone $100,000.”
With $100,000 set to boost his bank account, the ecstatic winner shared the prize would unlock a world of possibilities for him and his nearest and dearest.
“You know what, this prize is going to go a long way. It’s going to do so many things for my family and I,” he said.
“I’ll be able to pay off my mortgage and help my family.
“I’ll have to wait to see the money, because it still doesn’t feel real!”
His winning entry was purchased at TSG Narangba, Shop 5, 32-36 Main Street, Narangba.
TSG Narangba owner Mani Bhardwaj shared he was excited to hear his outlet sold a 1st Prize winning entry worth $100,000.
“I was so excited when I found out the news that our outlet has sold a 1st Prize winning entry worth $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries,” he said.
“We will be decorating the store with posters and balloons this week to share the good news with our customers.
“This is the second 1st Prize winning entry we’ve sold in the last two years. I have no doubt our customers are going to be very happy to hear the news.
“We send our winner a big congratulations and wish them all the best.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $6.28 million for draw 1704, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $19.61 million for draw 10991.
In 2024, 147 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $52.2 million.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
