Imagine waking up this morning to news you’ve won $20 million! That’s the reality for one Sydney player who took home last night’s Powerball division one prize – but they haven’t realised yet!

The mystery multi-millionaire held the only division one winning entry across Australia in Powerball draw 1193, drawn Thursday 28 March 2019, and won the division one jackpot prize of $20 million.

The $20 million winning entry is not registered to a Players Club card, which means NSW Lotteries officials have no way of contacting the winner to break the incredible life-changing news.

The winning Powerball entry was purchased at Woolworths Petrol-Prestons, Corner Camden Valley Way & Ash Road, Prestons.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Lauren Cooney said the winner may have stopped in south-west Sydney to get petrol, but ended up filling their bank account with a $20 million Powerball win.

“What an incredible decision this person has made, perhaps filling up their car and choosing to grab a Powerball entry that’s now won them $20 million,” she said.

“I can’t wait to break the life-changing news to this winner!

“We’re urging everyone who purchased a Powerball entry at Woolworths Petrol-Prestons to check their tickets today!

“You may think there’s no way you could be the winner we’re searching for but someone is walking around with a $20 million ticket in their pocket.

“You could be our mystery division one winner! Just imagine how your life could change after you discover you’re $20 million richer.

“If you realise you are holding this division one winning ticket, contact NSW Lotteries on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

In 2018, there were 16 Powerball division one winning entries nationally that collectively took home $367 million. During this time, the biggest individual Powerball prize was $60 million, won by a man from Burleigh Heads in November.

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1193 on Thursday 29 March 2019 were 4, 34, 25, 27, 30, 26, and 5, while the all-important Powerball number was 18.

Across Australia there was only one division one winning entry in Powerball draw 1193, in New South Wales.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 279 so far this financial year, including 78 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
