A Wodonga resident or visitor has kick-started the week over $1.4 million richer after scoring division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw – they just don’t know it yet.

The mystery player held one of the seven division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto draw 4237 on 26 February 2022. Each entry won a division one prize of $1,428,571.43.

The winning entry is unregistered, which means officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the life-changing news. Instead, they’re waiting for the ticketholder to come forward to claim their prize.

The winning entry was purchased at Birallee Lotto, Shop 16B Birallee Shopping Centre, 3 Birallee Place, Wodonga.

Birallee Lotto owner Marlene Smedley said she was on the hunt for the mystery winner.

“I received the message on Saturday night informing me we’d sold a division one winning entry, and I was over the moon,” she explained.

“Saturday was my last day working before retiring from Birallee Lotto after 36 years, so it was a fabulous way to end it.

“I’d been joking that I was bound to sell a division one winning entry in Lotto’s $10 million draw before I retired, and I did!

“There’s so much buzz in the store this week. Our customers are so happy about the win and keep checking their tickets, hoping they’re the winner we’re looking for.

“Once we find our winner, we’d love to send them our congratulations. We are so thrilled for them!

“Good luck to the new owner. Hopefully, they sell many more division one winning entries to their customers.”

The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she was eager to unite Wodonga’s latest division one winner with their prize.

“This winner has likely been going about their weekend as normal with no idea they’ve just won $1.4 million!” she said.

“We’re urging all players who purchased a TattsLotto ticket from Birallee Lotto to check their tickets today.

“Imagine how exciting it would be to realise you’ve just won $1.4 million. Your plans for 2022 would undoubtedly change with those extra digits in your bank account!

“Make sure you check your ticket, which could be in your wallet, handbag, fridge door or car glovebox because the winner could be you and you could be planning what to do with your prize too!

“If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4237 on 26 February 2022 were 3, 26, 23, 34, 7 and 16, while the supplementary numbers were 17 and 35.

Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4237 – three from Victoria, three from New South Wales and one from Western Australia.
