A mystery Warwick shopper is heading into the weekend $100,000 richer after scratching a top prize on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The top prize winning $5 Crosswords ticket was purchased at Westside Foodworks, 148 Wood Street, Warwick.
Westside Foodworks supervisor Annette Davies said it was the first top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket the outlet had sold.
“This is such an exciting milestone for us,” she said.
“We were so happy to hear that one of our customers had walked away with this incredible win.
“We hope they really enjoy their prize and we hope it’s the beginning of plenty more!”
Instant Scratch-Its spokesperson Lauren Cooney said she was sure Queensland’s latest winner would enjoy every moment of their windfall.
“We have no doubt this Warwick player will love every moment of planning what to do with their win,” she said.
“Other winners have told us they use their windfall to upgrade their car, do renovations on their home, or plan an exciting holiday.
“No matter how they enjoy their prize we are sure it will give them a boost!”
In 2020, there were 177 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across The Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $16 million in top prizes.
During this same time, Instant Scratch-Its players enjoyed more than 32.3 million wins across all prize tiers worth more than $281.17 million. This equates to more than three-quarters of a million dollars won on Instant Scratch-Its every day.
