A Labrador dad has admittedly struggled to convince his daughter he was the mystery winner who scored $200,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries draw.

The Gold Coast resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1776, drawn Friday 6 March 2026. He looks forward to a neat $200,000 prize.

The winning entry wasn’t registered to The Lott Members Club, which means officials from The Lott had to wait for him to check his ticket and come forward.

“It’s a good chunk of change!” the winning man cheered when speaking with an official from The Lott.

“It still hasn’t sunk in. I had to get my missus to double-check the ticket because it didn’t seem real.

“Then the next day, I gave my daughter a call to try and share the news. She told me she’d seen a Facebook post about a mystery winner in the Logan area. When I tried to tell her it was me, she didn’t believe it.

“She said, ‘No Dad, it’s someone who lives in Logan.’ It’s fair to say it took a lot of convincing before she finally believed me.

“I had to explain the full story of me buying the ticket and what I was doing in the area.

“Unbelievable!”

With $200,000 soon to boost his bank account, the doting dad said looking after his family was top of mind.

“I’ve already done so much with my life so I want to share some with my kids,” he said.

“I think we’ll start with a family trip and go from there.

“The rest will be invested and be a nest egg.

“A big thank you to the Loganholme News and Casket for making my dreams come true.”

His winning entry of 10 consecutive numbers was purchased at Loganholme News and Casket, Shop 5, Loganholme Shopping Village 37 - 59 Bryants Road, Loganholme.

Loganholme News and Casket owners Deepak and Samika shared it was an incredible and exciting moment when they discovered they’d sold a 1st Prize winning entry worth $200,000.

“We felt extremely proud and happy knowing that our store played a small part in someone’s life-changing moment,” they said.

“Moments like these remind us how lucky and exciting these opportunities can be and we are thrilled that the winning entry came from our outlet.

“We’ll be celebrating with our staff and loyal customers who visit our store regularly. It’s not every day that a 1st Prize winning entry is sold here, so we want to enjoy the moment and share the happiness with everyone.

“Over the years, we’ve been lucky enough to sell several major prize-winning entries.

“Congratulations to the 1st Prize winner! This is truly a life-changing moment, and we are so happy that the winning entry came from our outlet. We wish you great happiness, good health, and success as you enjoy this wonderful prize.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $27.04 million for draw 1778, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $1.41 million for draw 11064.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
