A Narellan Vale man who initially thought he’d won $1,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, was completely blown away to discover he’d actually won $1.25 million.
The Sydney man held one of 16 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4337, drawn Saturday 11 February 2023. Each division one winning entry pocketed $1.25 million.
“I saw the numbers pop up on the TV and thought, ‘oh, I think I’ve got a few of those’,” he explained when confirming his win with an official from The Lott.
“After checking my entry, I thought I’d won just over $1,000, and I was stoked with that!
“Then I started counting the zeros, and I think I nearly passed out.
“I tell you what, it’s definitely a nice amount to win.
“But it won’t stop me from working just yet. I’m back at work right now believe it or not.
“I’ll prepare for my future, pay off a few bills and just enjoy this moment.
“It’s not every day you win the lottery.
“Thank you so much!”
The man’s winning entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4337 on 11 February 2023 were 4, 21, 7, 20, 22 and 19, while the supplementary numbers were 16 and 17.
