A Nelson Bay man confessed he was lost for words and stuck in a dreamy state of disbelief after he received a phone call from lottery officials revealing his $200,000 Lucky Lotteries win.
The Hunter Region resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1734, drawn Monday 17 November 2025. He looks forward to a cool $200,000.
“I’ve always dreamt of getting this phone call!” he said when speaking to an official from The Lott.
“Wow! Oh gosh!
“I’m flabbergasted right now.
“I’ve been feeling lucky lately, and you know what they say – good things come in threes. First, I scored some free tickets, then I won $86 on a Powerball ticket, and now $200,000 today! Unreal!
“What a nice surprise!”
With $200,000 heading his way, the winning man looked forward to packing his bags and heading on an overseas escape.
“I’ve been wanting to do overseas travel since COVID times. I’m excited to book something for next year,” he said.
“It’s going to make a big difference. It’s going to take some time to sink in.”
His winning entry of three random numbers was purchased at newsXpress Salamander Bay, Shop 76, Salamander Centre, Salamander Way.
