A middle-aged Nerang woman has toyed with the idea of never working another day in her life after discovering she scored more than $21 million in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Gold Coast resident won the Jackpot Prize of $21.16 million in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1681, drawn Monday 17 June 2024.
“Is this a joke? Oh my god!” she joyfully gasped when then enormity of her prize was confirmed by an official from The Lott.
“Are you serious? This is crazy! Jesus C*****!
“I’ve always thought, ‘maybe one day it would be my turn’ but nothing prepares you for this. This is completely life-changing.
“It’s so hard to believe that I’ve won the Jackpot Prize and will have $21 million in my back pocket.
“I had no idea I’d won anything until you called me. Thank you so much for your call.”
When asked how she’d use her newfound fortune, the winning woman admitted she was overwhelmed with ideas.
“I don’t even know where to start. There’s so much I could do!” she cried.
“I’m meant to be leaving my job in a couple of weeks but now that I think about it, I could just leave tomorrow. I could honestly stop working for good.
“I’ve also been trying to buy a house for a little while now so this will definitely help me secure somewhere I can call home.
“This prize is huge and is going to completely change my life. Thank you, thank you.”
The winning woman’s entry of one random number was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is $1 million for draw 1682, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now over $2.06 million for draw 10856.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
