A Newcastle retiree has declared he’s “as happy as Larry” after discovering he won $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1347, drawn Tuesday 11 June 2019.
Confirming his win with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon, the man explained the entry was a private family syndicate.
“Isn’t that wonderful!” he exclaimed.
“There’s three of us in this syndicate so we each get about $66,000 each.
“It’s with my two adult sons so they’re going to be over-the moon!
“I’m dumbfounded! I’m happy as Larry!”
The winner said he’d need to take some time to let the news sink in before he decided how he’d enjoy his prize.
“My wife and I are both retired so we will enjoy it!” he declared.
“I’d say we will be going on some kind of holiday.
“I think I’m still in shock! Nothing like this ever happens to me!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $72.28 million for draw 1348 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.67 million for draw 10294.
