A Newport woman couldn’t contain her screams of joy this afternoon when she discovered she had won $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Western Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1157, drawn Thursday 15 November 2018.
As well as winning the coveted 1st Prize of $200,000, the happy winner also won a $1,000 consolation prize. Bolstering her total prize to $201,000.
When speaking with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon to confirm the win, the winner couldn’t contain her shouts of joy.
“Oh my god! Oh my god! That is so exciting!” she screamed with glee.
“That’s just insane! Just this morning as I was driving, I thought to myself ‘that ticket is going to win.’.
“Two-hundred and one thousand dollars! I’ll take it!
“For years and years and years my Mum always had a Mega Jackpot ticket. So I always make sure I have one.
“I only grab a couple when I do but I’ve always thought ‘I wonder what would happen when I win?’.
“Oh my god! This is so exciting!”
When asked how she planned to spend her Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1st Prize the over-the-moon woman said there was no wondering when it came to how to enjoy the prize.
“I’ll pay off my daughters debts so she can get a good head start on a house!” she declared.
“I’m going to ride my motorbike through Vietnam. I am going to book that for me and my husband. We’ve always wanted to go.”
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning five consecutive number entry at Nextra Westend, Shop 29, Westfield Penrith, 585 High Street, Penrith.
Nextra Westend owner Shivji Vekaria said he was thrilled his outlet had sold its first major prize.
“We only opened in July this year and we’ve been hoping for a major prize winner since we opened,” he explained.
“We are so happy we didn’t have to wait too long and one of our customers has won a 1st prize!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $26,68 million for draw 1158 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.41 million for draw 10257.
