A man from Newtown has confessed he no longer felt like going to work today after a SA Lotteries official this morning confirmed his Saturday X Lotto division one win.
The Adelaide winner held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 3885 on 13 October 2018. Each entry took home a division one prize of $993,091.48.
When a SA Lotteries official made contact with the winner this morning, he admitted he already knew he had scored division one.
“Normally when I win, I get an email to say that I’ve won, even if it is something small,” he explained.
“But I didn’t get an email so I went to double check and when I opened up the Lott app and saw the amount I thought I was seeing things.
“I had to confirm with my wife! I said ‘Do me a favour, have a read of this!’.
“I didn’t believe it until it was confirmed by this phone call!”
Despite not being in the mood to go to work, the winner revealed early retirement was not on the cards.
“Nope, no retirement for me. I’ll still go to work!” he laughed.
“It has come at a really good time for us. It’s been a godsend!
“We’ll definitely be buying a house!”
The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 18-game QuickPick entry online from thelott.com - Australia’s official lotteries.
So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday X Lotto and Saturday X Lotto have created 146 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 3885 on Saturday 13 October 2018 were 10, 34, 6, 40, 37 and 3, while the supplementary numbers were 15 and 18.
Across Australia there were four division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 3385 – two from Queensland and one each from South Australia and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 305 so far this calendar year, including 30 won by SA Lotteries customers.
Last financial year, there were 290 division one winning Saturday X Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $302.7 million.
