A Vincentia woman who has joked about receiving a winning phone call for years, was surprised to answer the phone this afternoon to news she won $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries draw.
The New South Wales woman won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1363, drawn Monday 24 June 2019.
When a NSW Lotteries official called the woman this afternoon to confirm the win, she admitted the news had made her day.
“You’re kidding me? Two hundred thousand dollars?” she chuckled.
“Oh my stomach has gone funny! That is absolute marvellous, absolutely wonderful!
“Oh thank you, thank you so much!
“I have come out in a hot sweat.
“It has absolutely made my day!”
The winning woman explained she had been joking about answering the phone to news she won the lottery for years.
“I laugh because whenever I see a phone call from someone I don’t know, I always say ‘hang on, it’s probably the lottery office’,” she laughed.
“Gosh, I can’t believe it’s actually the lottery office! It’s amazing, isn’t it?
“I never actually thought it would happen though. Never in my wildest dreams!
“I am lucky to win an argument! This is insane.”
When asked how she planned to use her prize, the happy woman said she was excited to take some time to relax.
“Gee, I think I will do some home maintenance,” she shared.
“I’d like to do a road trip around Australia for a few weeks, or even a few months.
“Just have some time to really relax.”
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Cignall Tobacconist & Newsagent, Shop T16 & T17 Vincentia Marketplace, 8 Moona Creek Road, Vincentia.
Cignall Tobacconist & Newsagent employee Pam Conley said the outlet was thrilled to discover they sold another major prize.
“It’s amazing news,” she said.
“We are thrilled for our winner and wish her all the best with her prize.
“It’s celebration time in store and we are sharing this wonderful news with all of our customers.
“We have sold a few major prizes in the past, but we were certainly due for another! We can’t wait to sell more.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $76.12 million for draw 1364 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.93 million for draw 10296.
