A Kelvin Grove man is almost a million dollars richer after marking his Gold Lotto entry with numbers that came to him in a dream.
The Queenslander held one of the six division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4151, drawn Saturday 1 May 2021. He scores a division one prize of $974,297.53.
In addition to his division one win, the Brisbane man’s marked System 7 entry also scored division three 6 times, bolstering his total prize to $979,675.63.
“I’ve always thought it would be nice to have a boat in my driveway,” he laughed when his prize was confirmed by an official from The Lott this morning.
“It’s weird. I’ve always dabbled in Gold Lotto and just get a weekly entry.
“A few years ago, I had a dream one night, and all these numbers popped into my head. I woke up in the middle of the night and I jotted them down.
“It was midnight, but I put them into my phone and started using them on my Gold Lotto entry.
“Then yesterday morning, I checked my ticket. I thought, ‘this isn’t right’, so I waited 15 minutes and then checked it again. I wasn’t sure if I was awake or not!
“I checked my ticket again and again all day yesterday. It all feels like a dream.”
The dreamy marked System 7 entry was purchased at Stewart Road News, Shop 6, Ashgrove Shopping Village, 17 Stewart Road, Ashgrove.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4151 on 1 May 2021 were 5, 31, 14, 22, 42 and 18, while the supplementary numbers were 1 and 8.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4151 – four from Victoria, and one each from Queensland and South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 144 so far this calendar year, including 36 won by Golden Casket customers.
