A Nundah shopper has become the northern suburb’s newest division one winner after their entry into the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw scored them a division one prize of $847,000.
The Brisbane player held one of the six division one winning entries across the country in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4077 on Saturday 15 August 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $847,199.23.
However, how the winner plans to enjoy their windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Supanews Nundah, Shop 9, Nundah Village, 1193 Sandgate Road, Nundah.
Supanews Nundah owner Wei Wang said he was thrilled his outlet had sold another division one winning entry.
“It’s very exciting! We are so happy for our customer!” he exclaimed.
“This is the fifth division one winning entry we’ve sold since we took over the management six years ago. We feel like a very lucky store!
“Let’s hope we can sell another one soon to make it six for the six years we’ve been here.
“We hope our regular customer enjoys their prize!”
The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said that there is no doubt the northside’s newest division one winner started the week with a spring in their step.
“While we don’t know how they are going to enjoy their prize, what we do know is they’ll be wearing a smile knowing their bank account is about to balloon by a few extra zeros!” she exclaimed.
“Other winners tell us they use their windfall to buy a new car, plan a long-dreamt of holiday or upgrade their homes with renovations.
“Division one winners are also a generous bunch with many donating to charities close to their heart and sharing their prize with their family.
“However our winner plans to use their prize, we are sure they will enjoy every moment!”
Last financial year, Saturday Gold Lotto created 127 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4077 on Saturday 15 August 2020 were 16, 34, 41, 35, 29 and 13, while the supplementary numbers were 45 and 12.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4077 – three from Queensland, two from Victoria and one from New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 251 so far this calendar year, including 69 won by Golden Casket customers.
Between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020, there were 318 division one winning Saturday Gold Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $346.12 million.
