After four days of searching, an anonymous winner has come forward to claim their $1 million after winning division one in Monday Lotto draw 3828 drawn Monday 24 December 2018.

The region’s latest millionaire held one of the two division one winning entries across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3828, drawn Monday 24 December 2019, winning the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.

As the entry was unregistered, NSW Lotteries officials had no way to contact the winner with the dream-come-true news and had to wait for them to come forward and claim their prize.

However, how the Sydney-sider plans to spend their New Year as a newly-minted millionaire will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain anonymous in private.

The winning entry was purchased at Punchbowl Newsagency, 238 The Boulevarde, Punchbowl.

Two other Lotto Christmas winners at large in Sydney

The prize claim comes as NSW Lotteries continues the search for two other unregistered division one winning entries from the Sydney region that won this week.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said she encouraged all Sydney lottery players to check their entries as there was over $2 million yet to be claimed.

“We are still on the hunt for a Monday & Wednesday Lotto division one winner from Boxing Day who purchased their entry in Chatswood and a Saturday Lotto division winner from last Saturday who purchased their entry in the Sydney CBD,” she explained.

“Each of these division one winners are walking around oblivious to the fact they could be a millionaire – if only they checked their lottery tickets!

“We encourage all players who purchased an entry in Chatswood or the Sydney CBD to check their tickets and if they believe they hold the winning entry to contact NSW Lotteries on 131 868 to the process of claiming their prize.

“Imagine starting 2019 with a few more figures in your bank account! Your plans for the New Year would certainly knowing you were $1 million richer!”
