More than a month after the winning numbers were drawn, a Cabramatta shopper has finally collected their million-dollar prize from winning division one in a Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw.
The Sydney player held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3877, drawn Wednesday 12 June 2019. The entry took home a division one prize of $1,000,000.
Today the winner claimed their prize and will soon see their account balloon. But who they are and how they will use their prize will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous.
The winning entry was purchased at C&T Newsagency, Shop 34-35, 2020-205 Railway Parade, Cabramatta.
C&T Newsagency owner Cassandra Tran said she was thrilled the winner had finally been united with their prize.
“They took a while,” she laughed.
“I’m glad they finally checked their ticket. Good for them!
“We were so happy to have another win in store. We last sold a division one winning entry in March last year. Perhaps we’ll sell another one this week!”
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Matt Hart said while we might never know how the Cabramatta shopper planned to spend their prize, he was sure it would be life-changing.
“What better way to start the week than by discovering you were already a millionaire!” he exclaimed.
“No doubt our winner’s plans for the year will change when their bank account balloons by a few more zeros!
“Other winners tell us they love to share their windfall with their families, go on overseas holidays, pay off their mortgages or buy a new home.
“Whatever our winner chooses to do with their windfall, we are sure it has changed their life forever!”
In 2018, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto created 194 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3877 on Wednesday 12 June 2019 were 13, 26, 38, 10, 34 and 31, while the supplementary numbers were 7 and 37.
Across Australia, there was only one division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3877.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 193 so far this calendar year, including 55 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In the 12 months to 31 December 2018, there were 69 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won $62 million.
