An Ourimbah couple’s home renovations came to a sudden halt when a call from lottery officials revealed they’d nailed a $100,000 win in today’s Lucky Lotteries draw.
The Central Coast residents held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11050, drawn Friday 5 December 2025. They can look forward to a total prize of $100,000.
When an official from The Lott confirmed their prize, the winning pair shared moments of stunned silence, confessing they couldn’t find the words to share how much the windfall meant.
“Unbelievable! That’s great!” the winning husband said.
“We were in the middle of laying some new flooring before you called.
“We can’t find the words right now.
“My wife is pacing around the house shaking.
“I think it’s going to take us some time to settle down.”
With $100,000 set to boost their bank account, the winning wife shared they’d take some time planning before making any immediate decisions.
“We’re going to need some time to figure out how we’ll spend it,” she said.
“It’ll certainly help with our renovations.
“We’re going to have a great weekend celebrating! We’ll have to start by popping open a bottle of champagne. Woo-hoo!”
Their winning entry of two consecutive numbers was purchased at Ourimbah Newsagency, 37 Pacific Highway, Ourimbah.
Ourimbah Newsagency owner Kellie Pankhurst shared that after almost four decades running her family business she still couldn’t believe they’d sold another major prize-winning entry.
“I can’t believe we’ve done it again! It’s just the best news to get before Christmas. I honestly feel like I’m the winner myself,” she said.
“My family has owned this business for 38 years now, and we’re always so excited to see our plaque wall grow.
“Just last week, I put a sticker up on our plaque wall where there was a gap, and I wrote, ‘Here’s where our next major prize-winning ticket will be celebrated’. Lo and behold, we’ve sold a winning ticket worth $100,000 this week!
“We’ve got a real tight knit community here and everyone is going to be very excited. It’s already got a number of us dreaming of what we’d do if we were the winner.
“A big congratulations to our winner! Enjoy an extra special Christmas!”
