Aussies dreaming of finishing the year as a multi-millionaire have their sights set on Tuesday night’s $50 million Oz Lotto draw – the third biggest division one prize offered by the game so far this year.

During the past six weeks, no entry has held the seven winning numbers needed to score Oz Lotto’s division one prize, prompting the jackpot to rocket to $50 million for this week.

So far this year, there have been nine Oz Lotto division one winning entries across Australia that have shared $235 million in prize money.

Three of these division one winning Oz Lotto entries were from Victoria, while Queensland and New South Wales had two each. Tasmania and South Australia have both had one Oz Lotto division one win.

All but two of the Oz Lotto division one winning entries so far this year have been QuickPick entries, where the numbers were randomly generated by the lottery terminal.

Almost half of 2019’s Oz Lotto division one winning entries to date have been System entries. System entries are a type of entry that allows players to have more numbers in a game panel and give players more chances to win multiple prize divisions.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said many Aussies would be keeping a keen eye on the balls rolling out of the Oz Lotto barrel on Tuesday night.

“We’ve seen the Oz Lotto jackpot gather momentum during the past six weeks to reach the lofty heights of $50 million. That’s why we expect up to one-in-five Australian adults to have an entry in tomorrow night’s Oz Lotto draw,” he said.

“It’s fair to say there’s no shortage of people wanting to be crowned Oz Lotto’s next division one winner.

“With less than three months left in 2019 and in this decade, many players may be dreaming of how their future might look with a truckload of cash in their bank account.

“So far this year, we’ve seen nine division one winning entries pocket hundreds of millions of dollars in Oz Lotto prizes. Could we see our tenth division one winning entry this week?

“Imagine how your plans for the rest of the year, and the rest of your life, might change dramatically with a $50 million windfall.”

The Oz Lotto jackpot was last won in August by an Adelaide man who won $10 million and said it was “weird” to discover he was a millionaire.

Mr Hart said he would be standing by tomorrow night ready to reach out to any Oz Lotto division one winner.

“My best advice for anyone wanting the chance to pocket this massive prize is to have an entry in your hands before the draw’s close at 7.30pm AEST tomorrow night,” he said.

Oz Lotto draw 1339 closes at 7:30pm AEST on Tuesday 15 October 2019.

Tickets can be purchased at any licensed lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via the Lott mobile app.

The Lott’s division one winning tally across all Australian lottery games has now reached 290 so far this calendar year.

The home of Australia’s Official Lotteries, the Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, more than 131.8 million winners took home more than $3.3 billion in prize money from their favourite games at the Lott, including Saturday Lotto, Monday and Wednesday Lotto, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno, Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.
