For the first time in five years, the Oz Lotto jackpot has hit a mind-blowing $70 million for next Tuesday’s draw.

It comes after tonight’s $50 million division one prize eluded players across the nation, prompting the Aussie lottery favourite to jackpot for the seventh week in a row.

While no entries scored the division one prize in tonight’s Oz Lotto draw, a total of 731,076 prizes in divisions two to seven were won across Australia worth more than $15.82 million.

There is still a chance for Australians to become overnight multi-millionaires this week, with this Thursday’s Powerball also offering a massive $50 million division one prize.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said next Tuesday’s Oz Lotto draw would be one of the most hotly anticipated lottery draws of recent years.

“Aussies have no doubt already begun dreaming about how their life could change if they scored a slice of next Tuesday’s Oz Lotto $70 million division one prize pool!” he said.

“The last time we saw Oz Lotto climb to $70 million in December 2013, it set the record for the equal largest Australian lottery win by a single entry. Back then, a group of Gold Coast women who bought their $70 million-dollar winning entry using the money they had left over from buying lunch.

“Oz Lotto has a strong trackrecord of creating multi-millionaires. Last financial year, 18 Oz Lotto division one winning entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions won more than $237 million.  During this time, the biggest individual division one Oz Lotto win was a $30 million prize won by a down-to-earth Hervey Bay dad.

“Oz Lotto also proudly holds the record for the largest ever Australian lottery jackpot, which was set in in 2012 when Oz Lotto soared to a massive $100 million.”

The numbers drawn tonight in Oz Lotto draw 1276 on Tuesday 31 July 2018 were 7, 26, 25, 40, 10, 13 and 1.  The supplementary numbers were 28 and 31.

The $70 million Oz Lotto draw 1277 will take place on Tuesday 7 August 2018.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 230 so far this calendar year.
