A Pearcedale woman struggled to sleep a wink last night after she discovered her weekly TattsLotto ticket won her a $770,000 prize.
The Mornington Peninsula resident held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4679 on Saturday 23 May 2026. Each division one winning entry pocketed $772,198.90.
Still struggling to wrap her head around the enormity of her win, the joyful woman couldn’t help but shed a tear.
“Thank you very much,” she cried while speaking to an official from The Lott.
“When I checked my ticket, I originally thought I had five numbers and I went ‘You beauty!’, then I just went ‘Bloody hell!’ because it hit me that I actually had all six.
“I couldn’t sleep last night because everything was going through my head and I was just dumbfounded.
“You buy your ticket each week, but you never expect to win! I’ve been playing for years so it was a huge shock.
“This’ll be the mortgage paid off and then I can retire. I can’t believe it.
“My husband's just as shocked as I am.
“We told the family yesterday so now we’re just going to sit down and let the news sink in.
“Once we pay off our mortgage, we’ll do some celebrations.”
Her winning System 7 QuickPick entry was purchased at Pearcedale News & Lotto, Pearcedale Village Shopping Centre, Shop 14 - Baxter-Tooradin Road, Pearcedale.
