A Point Cook man who never checks his TattsLotto tickets got the surprise of a lifetime when he received a call from The Lott, revealing his sensational $2.2 million windfall in the weekend’s draw.
The Melburnian held one of the nine division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4583, drawn Saturday, 21 June 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $2,222,222.23.
“Oh okay, wow!” he laughed when an official from The Lott confirmed the winning news.
“I had no idea. I never check my ticket! I never look at it, I just have a subscription running every week. This is quite the surprise!
“I heard my phone ring earlier while I was enjoying a coffee, but I didn’t feel like answering it. Later, when I checked my phone and emails, I saw that The Lott had been trying to contact me.
“I just said, ‘Why the hell is The Lott ringing me?’. I was walking around in circles for ages thinking about it, and then I went to work.
“It’s so unbelievable!
“I’ll spend about $200,000 of it and then invest the rest.
“Thank you very much for the phone call!”
His winning System 7 entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4583 on 21 June 2025 were 6, 24, 10, 42, 1 and 30, while the supplementary numbers were 18 and 16.
Across Australia, there were nine division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4583 – two each in Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia, and one in Queensland.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 213 so far in 2025, including 85 won by Tatts customers.
In 2024, TattsLotto created 149 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 316 division one winning TattsLotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $400.2 million.
